Recruiting Buzz: More Butler Activity in 2015

Butler targets all over the country are gaining interest from numerous schools including Butler.

Boudreaux Getting Major Interest

Class of 2015 forward Evan Boudreaux, Lake Forest (HS) High School, has had an impressive and ultra productive spring for Team NLP.

It translated to multiple offers from DePaul, Iowa and Iowa State to go along with his offers from Boston College and Northwestern.

Now the 6-foot 7 forward continues to pick up interest on the first day of unlimited recruiting.

"I've already talked to Stanford, Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa, Georgetown, Harvard, Virginia, Butler, SLU, and Boston College."

Butler had already offered two true centers in the class and could be looking to pair them with a bruising rebounder like Boudreaux.

Smits Also Busy

Despite being on the road in Illinois, 2015 center Derrik Smits had a busy morning with calls from different schools.

Smits, who already has an offer from Butler, fielded calls from Butler, Michigan State, Boston College, IUPUI, Valparaiso, and Tennessee.

With his rapidly improving game and high ceiling the Zionsville (IN) HS big man could pick up offers rapidly during the summer.

Although with his interest with Butler, who Smits has followed growing up and lives just north of Indisnapilis, could pull the trigger at anytime.

Fleming Has More Interest

Reported earlier that Butler was active with 2015 shooting guard Andrew Fleming earlier the morning and it looks like interest is only picking up from other schools.

Clemson and Tennessee have joined the action.

Will catch up with Andrew this evening to see what Coach Johnson had to say to the talented scorer this morning.

Update: Butler had a good conversation with Fleming and will be watching him at Peach Jam. Looks to be in position to add an offer.

Where would Butler stand with an offer? "Top 5," said Fleming.

We'll watch as the situation develops.

Jordan Popular Target This Morning

Plainfield East (IL) High School guard Aaron Jordan has been busy as well.

Jordan has had calls with schools like Marquette, Iowa, Illinois, Butler, Georgetown, Tennessee, and Georgia Tech.

The Illinois Star shooting guard played well this spring and recently picked up an offer from Wisconsin, which made eight total.

He could see his recruitment blow up quickly and have offers from all over the country.
