The Butler Bulldogs are looking to replace their coach for the first time in six years and are trying to make sure they get it right, even if it takes a little more time.
Athletic Director, and former head coach, Barry Collier is making a thorough inspection of the candidates, and landscape, to see which direction he wants to take the program.
All signs still point to Butler hiring from within the Butler family once again.
The two coaches in the best position for the job continue to be LaVall Jordan and Branden Miller.
Jordan and Miller have each been in discussions with Collier about the position and neither have not been ruled out for the job.
Butler fans should be familier with each candidate, as both have played and coached for the Bulldogs.
Jordan is currently an assistant coach at Michigan having also coached at Iowa and Butler, while Miller is currently an assistant at Butler having worked at Illinois, Ohio State, Xavier, and Butler.
Another circumstance that may be holding up the decision is the holiday weekend.
InsideTheDawgPound still expects to see a decision soon with a coach being hired officially by the latest Monday.
