INDIANAPOLIS (IN) - Butler's three game home-stand to start the 2013-14 season comes to a close as the Bulldogs (2-0) host the SEC's Vanderbilt Commodores (2-0).
The Bulldogs enter the game following a 70-67 victory over Princeton (1-1) on Saturday night. The Bulldogs were led by sophomore guard Kellen Dunham, who scored a career high 26 points and junior forward Kameron Woods, who collected his 5th career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Kellen Dunham leads the Bulldogs in scoring at 19.5 points per game followed by senior forward Khyle Marshall at 11.5.
Brandon Miller improved his record to 2-0 as Butler's head coach. The new head coach will be up against one of the best in the SEC, Kevin Stallings. Stallings leads the Commodores for the 15th season and is 403-239 all-time as a head coach.
Vanderbilt comes to Hinkle Fieldhouse after defeating Lipscomb (1-2) 80-69. The Commodores were led by senior forward Rod Odom, who scored a team-high 20 points.
Odom leads Vanderbilt in scoring at 19.5 points per game. He is joined by four other Commodores averaging double-figures including guards Eric MeClellan (15.5) and Kyle Fuller (10.5), as well as forwards James Siakam (12) and Damian Jones (11.5).
This will be the 5th meeting between the two schools all-time, Butler leads the all-time series 4-0 including a win last season at Memorial Gymnasium 68-49.
